free as an eagle

Day 6: FOURTH OF JULY

Just because we are not in America doesn't mean we cannot celebrate a bit! We started with a BBQ dinner.

After dinner, we had to measure our crab shells. It was an odd situation, as we normally work in the dining hall as it is clean, bug-less and has wifi/electricity. However, since it was a holiday the resort guests were staying down and using the bar. A group of middle age women were a tad tipsy and blasting early 2000's popular music. Then there were a group of college student measuring hermit crab shells in the background. Very odd.

My group finished quickly and we started helping Dante make Key Lime Pie for dessert!

We hung out for a while and enjoyed each others company. There was a Spotted Eagle Ray sighting and we were all amazed by its beauty. Codee and Austin played guitar on the dock for a bit while we enjoyed our right to legally drink beer.
