certified to take over the world from 60 feet below

Day 6: July 4

In the morning I went SCUBA diving!

Mei-Jing, Thomas and I are all certified and joined the morning dive that the resort does every morning. I got certified before I come out here because I figured if I was coming all this way, and staying at a Dive resort, minutes from some of the best reefs around, it would be a wast of an opportunity not to. So I enrolled myself in a class the week before we came out, and now I was able to see some pretty awesome things!

The first dive was at a site called 'Dickies', with about 40 foot depth. It was a large wall of reef, which we swam around and through. The reef was much more densely populated near the shore and obviously a lot bigger. Looking up was amazing, seeing how far down you are with the massive structure in front of you.

The second dive was at a site called 30/30. This was more of a sand and coral area at around 40 foot depth as well. Here there were upside down jellies, a nudibranch and lots of other species. I took some pictures but not all of them came out great. Here are my favorites:

there is a big lobster in there

a huge sponge (not sure the species)

upside down jelly
this came out really cool for some reason
